DNF Hides DrugHub for Now as Dread Issues Temporary Ban

DrugHub Marketplace has been restricted (“soft banned”) on Dread, leading to its temporary removal from the DNF listings until the ban is lifted, according to an official statement from Dread administrator HugBunter.

The action follows confirmed rules violations, after DrugHub openly admitted to carrying out DoS attacks against multiple marketplaces on two separate occasions over the past few months. While earlier incidents were previously tolerated due to mitigating circumstances, HugBunter stated that the most recent actions were unjustified, as DrugHub was not offline at the time and no defensive necessity existed.

As part of the restrictions imposed by Dread, DrugHub is now subject to the following limitations:

1. Unable to post outside /d/DrugHub

2. Unable to comment outside /d/DrugHub

3. Advertising privileges disabled

4. Hidden from the Dread Superlist

These measures are designed to reduce wider community harm while avoiding sudden disruptions that could negatively impact vendors and buyers or increase phishing risks.

The ban is scheduled to last two weeks, ending at 00:00 on December 30, 2025. DNF will keep DrugHub hidden until the ban is lifted. If further violations occur during this period, the restrictions may be extended by an additional four weeks and could ultimately result in a permanent ban under Dread’s three-strike enforcement policy.

HugBunter also noted that while DrugHub will not immediately face restrictions on Daunt, significant penalties will be applied there once technical changes allow, short of full removal to help mitigate phishing risks.
